Poplar Hill Baptist Church is a frontrunner in community activism and charitable works. We are a must stop location for both elected officials and aspiring politicians.
We continue to be extremely active in our community with events such as:
- Valentine's Luncheon for Seniors
- Back to School Supply giveaways
- Soup for Seniors
- Thanksgiving Basket giveaway
- Holiday Outreach Toy Drive
During the period of civil unrest we fortified community relations with local Law Enforcement and hosted the first of its kind "Community in Dialog" panel which brought leaders from all races together. During the Covid19 pandemic we have had food giveaways, free Covid19 testing and acted as a vaccine site.
We have also conducted a series of Educational Panels that have dealt with some of the major issues of today's society.
